Sky Neon Signs started making neon signs almost 30 years ago. Some would say neon is a lost art. We say it's an art that is having a well deserved renaissance.  Lighting designers, architects, and interior designers appreciate the warmth and glow of neon. Visit our gallery to see samples of our clients' innovative neon applications, before and after pictures of sign renovations, and more.

When we're not busy with commercial neon lighting, we also work with LED signs, channel letters, hand-painted signs, building directories and awnings. We work with bars, restaurants, retailers, entertainment venues, artists and neon afficionados off all sorts.

Our signs are built to last

We are not your "fast signs" or your "cheap signs". Sky Neon is a small group of professional sign and lighting craftsmen who you can depend on for high-quality workmanship and responsive service. Since our overhead is low, our prices are quite competitive.  We know if your job doesn't look good, we don't look good.

We specialize in permanent exterior and interior signs and lighting installations. Our first step, after discussing your project, is to come to your location and survey your site. Then we give you a detailed quote, so you know what to expect without any hidden fees. When it comes to installation, no worries. Sky Neon Signs is fully insured for liability.  We're OSHA 30 and 10 certified, too. So we follow rigorous safety practices.

Whether you need sign design, fabrication, installation, or maintenance and repairs, Sky Neon Signs will make sure your sign looks great for many many years.

Come on in and turn on the lights.

Project du Jour

Sky neon consulted with the owners of Pistolas del Sur on their vision of a neon totem for their third Philadelphia restaurant, opening off of Passyunk Avenue in South Philly. First we provided a computer mock up of the sign based on their vision. After several days making the neon and constructing the sign, we were glad it arrived intact. It took most of the day to reinforce the sign mount and then install the sign, with oversight and approval by the City Inspector.

The Totem Pole is just under 22 feet tall. The eagle has about a 10 foot wing span. And the whole sign includes 200 feet of neon. The neon colors are EGL Emerald Green and EGL Novial Gold, both of which are made from glass imported from Italy. The glass is powered by 7 individual 9060 transformers. To increase longevity and reduce service, Sky Neon Signs will never use more than a 9000 volt transformer on outdoor neon. We used 60 milliamp on this neon sign to keep it burning bright year round. We are as proud as the eagle, who overlooks Pistolas del Sur, calling more visitors to the food and fun of the entire South Philly district.
